Missionary Care
Why We Exist
Frontlines helps protect your missionary investment. So much time, training, and finances go into preparing workers to go do a difficult task in the hardest places on earth.
Yet, 50% of workers leave the field in the first 3 years.
We partner with churches to help their missionaries avoid burnout and extend faithful years through:
The Frontlines Platform - 3 tools in 1 - CareHub, Content Library, Pipeline Management -to help free you up to care for your workers.
and
Frontlines Counseling - Heart-Focused, Church-Centered counseling to help apply the 7-Heart Marks to their heart…
…so that more can hear the name of Jesus and more healthy churches can be planted.
66% of those departures are preventable
1 in 2 Missionaries leave in 3 years
This amounts to at minimum $60 million loss annually—but the spiritual cost is even greater.
When churches aren’t prepared to vet and care well for those they send, the consequences affect not only missionaries but also their families, teams, and the people they were sent to serve.
The Role of the Church
Missionaries thrive when local churches take responsibility for their spiritual health. A well-supported missionary often stays long enough to see churches planted and the gospel proclaimed.
Spiritually Healthy missionaries
Missionary health isn’t just about skills—it’s about godly endurance. Over years of counseling and training, we’ve identified seven essential characteristics for missionaries to endure cross-cultural work. These marks shape everything we do, from training to counseling.
In 2019, Cody and Danny sat down with a shared conviction: the current model for missionary care was leaving frontline workers vulnerable to burnout and attrition. They knew something had to change.
Through prayer and a deep dive into Scripture, they—alongside Patrick—developed the 7 Marks of a Spiritually Healthy Frontline Worker. This framework became the DNA of every resource, training session, and counseling hour we provide.
As the vision grew, so did the team, with Sarah and Kim joining the mission. Today, after years of partnering with local churches, we’ve launched the Frontlines Platform—a dedicated tool designed to help pastors reclaim their time while providing deeper, more intentional care for their workers.
